In 2020 Becca Edwards ran for At-Large Representative Portland Democratic Socialists of America steering committee.:

I joined the DSA in Orange County after the 2016 election, and soon got involved leading canvasses on the SB-562 singlepayer healthcare campaign and collaborating with Californian DSA chapters. I served on the steering committee for our small chapter and have experience running various reading groups, setting up movie nights, and planning protests against white supremacy.
