In June/July 1994 John Riley contributed an article to Moving Forward, the newsletter of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization/Socialist Organizing Network on ACT/UP. The article named fellow ACT/UP activist Bob Lederer.

'Birddogging for Single Payer' with DSA

In April 2018, Rise and Resist teamed with the Democratic Socialists of America, Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) - NY Metro Chapter and Housing Works Inc. for "birddogging" training "in the movement to win single-payer." Bob Lederer attended the meeting.[2]

Socialist Scholars Conference 1992

Katrina Haslip of ACT UP, Selena Cummins-Volta of WHAM and Bob Lederer were speakers on the AIDS and Women's Health Activism in the 90's: Parallels, Connections and Potentials panel sponsored by the ACT UP at the Tenth Annual Socialist Scholars Conference. The conference was held April 24-26, 1992 at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, New York City[4]

Communist "Manifestivity"

On October 30 and 31, 1998 the Brecht Forum presented the "Communist Manifestivity -150th Anniversary of the Communist Manifesto" at at Cooper Union's Great Hall, New York.

One of the many workshops at the Manifestivity was;
