Socialist Community School
The Socialist Community School based in Los Angeles was a provider of courses for the New American Movement in the 1970s and 1980s. As of June 1983, the Socialist Community School was run by the Democratic Socialists of America.[1]
Friend & Supporter of the New American Movement
In 1981, Karen Dubinsky, Chairperson, Ontario Federation of Students; the Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild; the Socialist Community School Bookstore of Los Angeles; Bonnie Lambert and Marshall Mayer; Mary Clarke and Ben Clarke were listed as supporters of the New American Movement.
In 1981, the Socialist Community School was listed as a friend of the New American Movement. Members of the Radical Jewish History class at the school also greeted NAM "In the tradition of the Prophets and the dream of generations of Jewish Socialists".[2]
