Global Challenges Building Bridges Between EU and US Progressives was a meeting held on June 3rd, 2021 among socialists in America and Europe hosted by the Party of the European Left, a European political party which operates as an association of democratic socialist and communist political parties in the European Union and other European countries. Elected MEPs from member parties of the European Left sit in the European United Left–Nordic Green Left (GUE/NGL) group in the European parliament.

According to their Facebook Invitation,[1] the Global Challenges Building Bridges Between EU and US Progressives meeting is to "deepen a closer cooperation with US and EU progressive forces and to contribute to build up a coordinated progressive agenda."

Against the global challenges from Climate Change, Ending poverty securing to Peace and Disarmament there is an increasing need to continue and to deepen a closer cooperation with US and EU progressive forces and to contribute to build up a coordinated progressive agenda.
The event will focus in on Challenges, Aspects and Tasks in the areas of Foreign Trade and Foreign Policy and on Strengthening Public Sector – Reducing Poverty in the Post Pandemic Era.
This event is part of The Left group’s Strategic Initiative on the transatlantic EU-US relations.
