In 1986 Pele deLappe was Arts and Entertainment Editor, of the Communist Party USA newspaper People's Daily World[1]

In 1991 Pele deLappe, Northern California was one of several hundred Communist Party USA members to sign the a paper "An initiative to Unite and Renew the Party" - most signatories left the Party after the December 1991 conference to found Committees of Correspondence.[2]

The 1993 News for a People's World editor's committee board consisted of Alice Sunshine (editor), Marcy Rein (managing editor), committee members Pele deLappe, Conn Hallinan, Tahan Jones, Eric Mar, Hannah Miller, Jonathan Nack, Marty Price, David Raymond , Barry Sheppard and John Trinkl.[3]
Center for Political Education
In 1999, Pele deLappe gave a talk entitled "Pele: A Passionate Journey through Art and the Red Press" The talk was sponsored by the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism linked organization, the Center for Political Education.[4]
