Template:TOCnestleft The National Teach - In to Congress was held in Washington DC, on June 1-4, 2003. It was organized by Michael Lerner's Tikkun.
- Join some of America's most creative policy experts, social change activists, and religious and spiritual leaders as we challenge American politics and media to take a new path beyond militarism to personal and global security.
- Join us as we present a Resolution for Middle East Peace that at once supports President Bush's "Road Map for Peace" and moves beyond its obvious flaws. If you ever wished that there was a different voice besides the "cabal" of hawks shaping public discourse, this is the moment to create it. Come to our Teach-In to Congress and officially join us as we become the public voice of this new movement. (info and registration at ww,tikkun,orgor).[1]

A Progressive Middle Path to Middle East Peace-Pro-Israel and Pro-Palestine
This statement was promoted in pre-conference literature;[3]
- How can we be both? By ceasing the blame game that identifies one side as "righteous victims," and the other as irrational monsters, The truth is that both sides have co-created this mess, and both sides need to do repentance for the pain and cruelty they have inflicted upon each other, A solution must be based on a new spirit of atonement and generosity toward the Other. The Resolution' for Middle East Peace (at _ ww,tikkun, org} embodies an even-handed approach which takes into account the needs of both sides--and we are asking you to come support it June 1-4 and to get your local city councils, elected representatives, synagogues, churches, mosques, and community organizations to publicly endorse it. You can also sign this online at ww,tikkun,org-and send it to everyone you know! By"the time of the major parry conventions next year, we want to make public support for this Resolution so powerful that the media and public officials feel they have to respond to its cal for a middle path that is both pro-Israel and pro-Palestine, Please circulate it widely, seek endorsements, and join the Tikkun Community.
