Joe Atkins is a journalist, professor, and Institute for Southern Studies Advisory Board member.
Atkins, a veteran journalist and columnist, has been a journalism professor at Ole Miss since 1990. He is a contributing columnist at the Clarion Ledger, where he continues to write columns on social policy and labor issues.[1][2]
