In 2021 several leading Democratic Socialists of America members celebrated the anniversary of Leon Trotsky's murder by Ramon Mercader. Those retweeting or “liking” these posts comprise a Rolodex of the DSA leadership.

Nickan Fayyazi, a member of the YDSA’s National Coordinating Committee leadership body and co-chair of the YDSA’s UC Berkeley chapter, presents a photo of an ice pick with the caption “this might come in handy today,” alongside other vulgar language. This was retweeted by Dary Rezvani, a prominent member of the Los Angeles Democratic Socialists of America.[1]

The tweet about the ice pick was “liked” by over 100 people, including many DSA members, as well as the following DSA leaders and prominent members:

NYC-DSA

In 2020 Jake Colosa, was Labor Branch Representative of the New York City Democratic Socialists of America Steering Committee.

Jake is the YDSA Steering Committee representative. As a history student at NYU, Jake hopes to become a rank-and-file teacher after he graduates from school. Prior to being elected to the Steering Committee he has served as the YDSA Liaison for the Lower Manhattan branch, delegate to the NYC-DSA Convention, and NYU YDSA organizing committee member. [2]
