Elly Leary
Template:TOCnestleft Elly Leary is a retired union officer, union negotiator, and labor educator. Elly Leary is the former co-chair of the New Directions Movement and a member of Freedom Road Socialist Organization.[1]
She is the former Vice President and Bargaining Chair in the UAW. Since retiring, she has worked with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers, Miami Workers Center, and POWER U, all lower-sector community organizations in South Florida.

- In 1968, at the height of the war in Vietnam, the New York Times reported that nearly 3 million Americans thought a revolution was needed in this country, and polls showed that more college students identified with Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara than with any U.S. Presidential candidate that year.

Chip Smith is the director of a workers' center and an anti-war activist in Eastern North Carolina[3]. He is the author of "The Cost of Privilege".
He was assisted in writing the book by Juliet Ucelli, Joe Navarro, Elly Leary, Badili Jones, Michelle Foy, Malcolm Goff (artwork).[4]
