Claudia Webbe
Template:TOCnestleft Claudia Webbe (born 8 March 1965) is a British politician who has served as Member of Parliament for Leicester East since 2019. Born in Leicester, she was a councillor in the London Borough of Islington from 2010 until her resignation in March 2021, having served as its cabinet member for environment and transport. She was a member of the National Executive Committee of the Labour Party from 2016 until her election to Parliament.
Ms Webbe, a former policy director for Ken Livingstone when he was mayor of London, is an Islington councillor and a member of the National Executive Committee of the Labour party. A loyal supporter of Mr Corbyn, she is chair of the NEC Disputes Panel. She is the former chair of the independent advisory group to Operation Trident, a Metropolitan Police initiative to tackle gun crime and homicide affecting African-Caribbean communities in London.
