Ruth Williams was the membership chair of Michigan Welfare Rights, and the National Welfare Rights Union. She was a member of the League of Revolutionaries for a New America (LRNA).[1]

Salute to Harold Washington

On April 6, 1983, the Hyde Park Herald published an endorsement from the Hyde Park/Kenwood Citizens Committee of Democratic Party Chicago mayoral candidate Harold Washington. Signatories to the endorsement included Ruth Williams and Sidney Williams, Jr..[2]

Washington State CP

In May 1995 The Communist Party USA newspaper Peoples Weekly World published a May Day supplement. Included was a page of greetings to Will Parry, sending "warmest greetings" for his 75th Birthday. Almost all of the more than 100 endorsers listed, were identified members or supporters of the Washington State Communist Party USA.

The list included Ruth Williams[3].
