Jeannette Huezo[1]

Jeannette Huezo - originally from El Salvador, Jeannette came to the U.S. in 1989. She is the mother of nine children, two of whom still live in El Salvador. She has spent her life working for justice and social change.

Latino Parents Association

Huezo's first organizing job in United States was with the Latino Parents Association.[2]

Coalition for Basic Human Needs

Huezo worked with the Coalition for Basic Human Needs for four years, organizing low-income women to fight for their rights.[3]

Women's Institute for Leadership Development

Huezo worked for the Women's Institute for Leadership Development as the Program Director, Trainer and Organizer.[4]

Center to Support Immigrant Organizing

Jeannette is an Advisory Board Member of the Center to Support Immigrant Organizing.[5]

Service Employees International Union

Huezo worked as a Union Organizer for Service Employees International Union Local 254, organizing immigrant workers like herself to find their voice as members of the labor movement.[6]

United for a Fair Economy

As of Dec. 30, 2009, Jeannette Huezo served as the Education Coordinator on the Staff of United for a Fair Economy.[7]

America's Future Now!

Jeannette Huezo was one of the 148 speakers who addressed the 2010 America's Future Now Conference.[8]

"Progressive Agenda"

Signers of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio's May 12, 2015 launched The Progressive Agenda to Combat Income Inequality included Jeannette Huezo - Executive Director, United for a Fair Economy.[9]
