21st Century Democrats

21st Century Democrats successfully endorsed Eloise Gomez Reyes for Congress from California in 2014.[1]

The progressive Democrat in the race is Eloise Gomez Reyes, an attorney and community activist who has fought for working families throughout her entire career. She is one of four Democrats in the race, which has become an expensive primary battle.

Gomez Reyes has earned endorsements from Representatives Xavier Becerra, Raul Grijalva, Alan Lowenthal, Grace Napolitano, Lucille Roybal-Allard and Jackie Speier, as well as former Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis.

There is no one better suited to vouch for Gomez Reyes’ progressive credentials than Rep. Raul Grijalva, co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

“Eloise has always been on the side of working families against powerful interests. We need more progressives in Congress, and I am proud today to give her my full and energetic support. She’s the real progressive in the race,” said Grijalva in his endorsement of her candidacy.

Eloise Gomez Reyes was endorsed by 21st Century Democrats in 2020.
