Dylan Taylor
Dylan Taylor is a lecturer in Sociology at Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington. His research and teaching focuses on social movements and critical theory. He is on the editorial board of Counterfutures journal, and is a researcher for Economic and Social Research Aotearoa.
His doctorate is from the University of Auckland, and his Masters from Victoria University of Wellington. Dylan has written for academic publications, including Thesis Eleven, Rethinking Marxism and New Zealand Sociology. His first monograph, Claiming the Century: The promise of social movements and democracy in the 20th Century, is being published by Palgrave Macmillan late 2016. In addition to being a Researcher for ESRA, Dylan is also a member of the board of trustees.
His research interests include social movements, democracy, political theory and social inequalities.
