In 2015, Democratic Socialists of America founded a new version of Religious Socialism.

We invite you to join us in making it useful both to people of faith within DSA and to the wider religious left.

David Wheeler-Reed finished his PhD in New Testament and Early Christian Origins at the University of Toronto in 2013. He is currently a post-doc fellow at Yale, where he is finishing his first book, Sex in the Empire: Strategies of Power from Augustus to the Early Monastics. As a committed Catholic, he is interested in the similarities and differences between Democratic Socialism and Catholic Social Teaching.
