David B. Sullivan

Background
Representative David B. Sullivan is a lifelong resident of the City of Fall River. He attended Bristol Community College and later the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth where he received his Bachelors degree in Psychology. In 1985 he graduated from Bridgewater State College with a Masters in Education. [2]
Politics
Sullivan worked as a Psychiatric Social Worker at Corrigan Mental Health Center in Fall River for 18 years, until he ran for a seat on the Fall River City Council in 1991. He served for five years as a City Councilor. Dave was Council Vice President from 1996 to 1997, until he ran and took office as State Representative in a mid-term election in for the 6th Bristol District. He currently serves on the Joint Committees of Tourism, Mental Health and Substance Abuse and Municipalities and Regional Government. [3]
2008 Mass Alliance
In November 2008, several candidates for the Massachusetts legislature were endorsed for the November 4 election by Mass Alliance, of which Boston Democratic Socialists of America was a member.
These included House candidates Willie Mae Allen , Cory Atkins, Jennifer Benson, William Brownsberger, James Cantwell, Lori Ehrlich, Gloria Fox, Denis Guyer, John D.
