During the 1980's, a lot of Marxist groups held "conferences" on "socialism" with varying names. One joint effort by the maoist-oriented, Marxist "Guardian" (U.S. weekly), "Socialist Review", et al (To be added) was the holding of at least two "nference on Socialism and Activism" in 1985 and 1986. Notices of these conferences found in the "Guardian newspaper are reproduced en toto for the years 1985 and 1986, the latter including Bernie Sanders as one of their speakers.
