Workers United

Workers United is an SEIU union of 150,000 workers in the United States and Canada who work in the laundry, food service, hospitality, gaming, apparel, textile, manufacturing and distribution industries. Many Workers United members have been members of predecessor unions like the ILGWU, ACTWU, UNITE and UNITE HERE. In fact, the union was created when more than 150,000 UNITE HERE members united under the new name.[1]

In 2009, Workers United spent about $30,000 on lobbying, according to OpenSecrets.org.[2]

In 2009 Mark Levinson was chief economist for Workers United.[3]
