Wal-Mart Alliance for Reform Now (WARN) is a union and coalition of individuals, community organizations, labor unions, neighborhood associations, immigrant alliances, civil rights groups, women’s organizations, environmental groups, and consumer groups to combat corporate Wal-Mart.

It is partnered with the Wal-Mart Workers Association (WWA) for building a national organization that has the power to affect change in the business practices of Wal-Mart and its affiliated businesses. Its base is in Tampa and Orlando, but is expanding across the country.

Merced WARN

Merced WARN is a project working with the Merced Alliance for Responsible Growth (MARG) to halt a proposed Wal-Mart distribution center in Merced, California. The group includes the Central Valley Hopefuls, the Community Alliance with Family Farmers North San Joaquin Valley, Green Party of Merced County, Merced Associated Democrats, Merced Chapter of the Sierra Club, Merced County Citizens Against the Raceway, the Merced-Mariposa Labor Council, and the Train Riders Association of California, Merced Group. These partners oppose the Wal-Mart distribution center in part because it would add thousands of diesel truck trips to the area, adding more emissions to some of the worst polluted air in the country, endangering the health and lives of the entire area's population.
