The last time Rights & Democracy VT had an in person Membership Assembly was Nov 2019 and in addition to announcing RAD’s endorsement of Bernie Sanders w/ Nina Turner and then VT State Senator Becca Balint joined now RAD ED Kiah Morris, NH State Rep. Tim Smith and RAD leader and now NH State Rep candidate Jodi K. Newell for a panel discussion on importance of movement politics and elected officials to champion people’s movements. It’s fitting now almost 3 years later, Bernie and Becca next weekend are holding a classic VT barnstorming tour w/ Western Terrestrials to help get her into Bernie’s old US House seat. Becca has the support of the members of Rights & Democracy.

The newly elected leadership team and Caucus members are ready to fight boldly to advance progressivism in New Hampshire.

DSA member

The working-class and young voters of New Hampshire showed up in huge numbers tonight to vote for Bernie Sanders after a massive grassroots effort to get out the vote. The ground campaign took DSA members across the state to knock on doors, canvass colleges, and call voters with a consistent message: the working class is ready to fight for the bold democratic socialist vision of Bernie Sanders and DSA. They want Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, immigration justice and an end to mass incarceration and pointless wars. They said the same in 2012 and 2018 when they elected DSA members Tim Smith and Mark King respectively to the State Senate and they said it again today.[1]
