While the CEO makes over $10 million, Providence can't commit to safe staffing, adequate sick time, or to support their frontline employees after years of a pandemic. I was proud to stand with workers as nurses strike for the first time in 20 years. And It was great seeing so many members of the community show up to support these vital workers, from teachers, to doctors, to Teamsters, to DSAers, the message is clear: Portland is a Union Town and we want a fair contract for Providence nurses now!
