What does it mean to actually center a survivor who is harmed? What does it mean to actually support people who have caused harm? These are the questions that we'll be exploring during our May monthly reading group meeting. Here are the readings we'll be discussing:

Sarah Jaffe was the keynote speaker of the Metro Atlanta Democratic Socialists of America's "Celebrating at the 11th Annual Douglass-Debs Awards Dinner" in November 2017. Other attendees included State Senator Nan Grogan Orrock, Lisa Smith, MADSA officer Erin Parks,Shelley Elise Berlin, Daniel Hanley, Mawuli Davis, Milt Tambor, Khalid Kamau, Metro Atlanta Democratic Socialists of America officer, and Teamster Local 728’s Eric Robertson. There was a table for the Communication Workers of America.[1]

Mapping Socialist Strategies

Mapping Socialist Strategies was convened from August 1-4 in Briarcliff Manor, NY, by the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung—New York Office. It brang together 100 influential progressives and leftists from across the United States, Canada, and Europe for an “un-conference” on socialist strategies.
