Robert R. Wilson (March 4, 1914 - Jan. 16, 2000)
The Manhattan Project
Wilson was recruited by Oppenheimer to be the Cyclotron Group leader and he helped secure the use of Harvard's cyclotron for use on the Manhattan Project.[1]
Fermilab
Wilson served as the director and builder of the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (better known as Fermilab) from 1969 to 1978.[1]
Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists
As at April 1984, Robert R. Wilson served on the Board of Sponsors for The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists journal.[2] He served as chairman of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists' Board of Sponsors from 1982 - 1993.[1]
