Nick Baumann

JournoList

Nick Baumann, assistant editor of Mother Jones, was an identified member of JournoList - an email group of approximately 400 "progressive" and socialist journalists, academics and "new media" activists.

JournoList members reportedly coordinated their messages in favor of Barack Obama and the Democrats, and against Sarah Palin and the Republican Party. JournoList was founded in 2007 and was closed down in early 2010.[1]

Mother Jones

Baumann covers national politics for Mother Jones' DC Bureau since July 2007.[2]

His writing has also appeared in the Economist, the Washington Monthly, and Commonweal.[3]

Democracy in America

Baumann used to write for Democracy in America.[4]

He also writes for the business travel blog Gulliver and still does some freelancing journalism.[5]
