Standing for AD 5
In 2019 Josh Lewis stood from AD 5 for the California Democratic Party Central Committee on the Progressive Environmental Labor slate
I am now an active student of political science, learning governmental theory, and studying public policy implementation at the University of California, Berkeley. I was granted the privilege of forming and chairing the only active, chartered Democratic club in Amador County, in addition to serving as the founding Vice-Chair of the Sierra Foothills Young Democrats. In both of these positions, I fought for progressive candidates and endorsed policies that we should all support at a state level, including public healthcare options, free college tuition, rural access to broadband internet, and public insurance options.
Throughout my political career, I have had the incredible honor to lead groups of young democrats in all corners of our district to fight for progressive change and represent the interests of those that live in the communities I love. As an intern for the Jessica Morse for Congress campaign, I was able to travel all around our district and learn the interests and issues that affect our citizens most.[1]
