James Tobin (1918-2002) was a professor at Yale University for most of his career. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics in 1981 for his theory “of financial markets and their relation to consumption and investment decisions, production, employment and prices.” David Ross founded The Tobin Project, naming the organization after Tobin.[1]
