George Robson

Background
Born in 1927 in Viroqua, WI, George Robson grew up on farms in the Liberty Pole area, and was active in 4-H and the Liberty Pole UMC Youth Fellowship. After two years in the U.S. Navy, he earned his B.A. from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. It was there that he met his future wife, Tharen Jones. They were married on June 21, 1952.[1]
Religious work/activism
George Robson graduated from Drew Seminary in 1956, and was ordained at the 1956 Wisconsin Annual Conference. He served the United Methodist Church in Wisconsin until his official retirement in 1992.[2]
