Farrington Daniels (March 9, 1889 - June 23, 1972) was director of the Metallurgical Laboratory at the time of the first testing and use of the atomic bomb, but after the war he turned his attention to solar energy and the promise it offered of pollution-free energy.[1]
Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists
As at 1949,[2] May 1971[3] and April 1984,[4] Farrington Daniels served on the Board of Sponsors for The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists journal.
