Circa 1965, Esther Herst was listed as the Coordinator of the Washington, D.C. Office of the National Committee Against Repressive Legislation.[1]

New American Movement

In 1981, Esther Herst, National Director; Frank Wilkinson, Executive Director Emeritus and Laura Berg, Portland Area NCARL Representative & Member, NAM's National Interim Committee of the National Committee Against Repressive Legislation saluted NAM "for its commitment to democracy" on the occasion of its 10th anniversary.[2]

Honoring Frank Wilkinson

Chicago Committee to Defend the Bill of Rights organized a "Celebration of the The Dynamic Life of Frank Wilkinson (1914-2006)" on Sunday October 29, 2006. Wilkinson had been a leader of the Communist Party USA, the New American Movement and Democratic Socialists of America[3].

Honoring Committee members included Esther Herst.
