Marching for Trayvon

On March 30th, 2012, the Lufkin Texas Young Communist League participated in a march to demand justice for Trayvon Martin. There were many people there making their voices heard. The YCL members who participated were Bryce Mitchell, Dylan Roark, William Bryson, Nathan Duguay, and Stormy Mitchell.

Everywhere you looked you saw sweatshirts and t-shirts stating “I am Trayvon Martin.” We marched from the Lufkin civic center to Jones park, approximately 1.5-2 miles. Once we arrived at the park we heard speeches and prayers from multiple speakers including the mayor of Lufkin, Jack Gordon Jr. After the march many groups, including the Lufkin YCL, handed out fliers and talked to people who had participated in the march.[1]
