The Center for Global Development is a nonprofit policy research organization founded by Edward W. Scott, Jr., C. Fred Bergsten and Nancy Birdsall in November 2001. Its mission is to reduce global poverty and inequality and to making globalization work for the poor.
It combines research and strategic outreach to engage policymakers and the public to influence the policies of the United States, other wealthy countries, and the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Trade Organization.[1]
