Ben Imbus
Template:TOCnestleft Ben Imbus is from rural southern Ohio. He got politicized fighting racism and the demonization of Arabs and Muslims during the Iraq War, as well as the anti-Mexican and immigrants sentiment during the immigration rights strike of 2005.
His radicalization came after seeing the Obama campaign fail to live up to its promises, and then the Occupy movement wither away.
After getting a teaching degree and learning that there were no teaching opportunities in Ohio, Ben moved to Albuquerque where he discovered a painful shortage of teachers.
After an arrest at a protest that taught him the futility of trying to change the system alone, which led to his understanding of the importance of being in a socialist party, Ben is now a dedicated and committed member of the Party for Socialism and Liberation. "[1]
