Max Lewis, a former draft-card burner and Seattle delegate to the 2017 Democratic Socialists of America convention in Chicago. who's been involved in socialist politics for decades, says modern acceptance of socialism presents a "golden opportunity."
"We know sometimes movements are able to take opportunities and sometimes they slip by," Lewis says. "I think DSA is the organization to move forward with it."[1]
