Terry Allen... is a Lexington Kentucky activist.

Socialist Scholars Conference

Terry Allen, Covert Action Information Bulletin; Meredith Turshin; Sean Gervasi and Charles MacMartin were speakers on the The "Good Cops" USAID, NED Peace Corps & U.S. Foreign Policy panel sponsored by the Covert Action Information Bulletin at the Tenth Annual Socialist Scholars Conference. The conference was held April 24-26, 1992 at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, New York City.[1]

Covert Action Information Bulletin

Terry Allen was involved with the Covert Action Information Bulletin from 1989 to 1998.[2]

On May 9, 1998 Covert Action Publications sent Terry Allen, Sanho Tree (staff-member) and Barbara Neuwirth (associate editor) a letter in which they notified them of their firing, effective immediately.[3] The letter begins as follows,

We have determined, after considerable deliberation, that the interpersonal relations, the work styles, and the manner of functioning of the office have become intolerable, creating a hostile and unproductive environment for all of us. As the founders of CovertAction magazine, we have decided that it is in the best interests of the company, the magazine, and all concerned that your employment be terminated.[4]

In These Times

As of 2009 Terry Allen was a Senior Editor of Chicago based socialist journal In These Times.[5] She has written the magazine’s monthly investigative health and science column since 2005.[6]
