Signatories to 3 DSA Members in Congress Vote to Ban Railroad Strike – They Don’t Speak For Us included Zev Cook Tacoma & Pierce County Democratic Socialists of America.
Organizer Training
On June 11th 2022, Tacoma & Pierce County Democratic Socialists of America held our first Organizer Training for the Home in Tacoma For All campaign.
Campaign Coordinator Ty Moore set the stage with the help of UFCW 367's vice president Michael Whalen, who described the HTA platform.
Long time activist and organizer Andrea Shapiro shared her experiences with theTacoma Tiki Tenant campaign, which passed Tacoma's first iteration of a renter's bill of rights by organizing displaced tenants.
Zev Cook and Kiss'Shona Curtis from @stp_tacoma then described the facets of capitalism's housing crisis.
Finally, Eric and Camille from the @houseourneighbors campaign discussed their struggle for social housing in Seattle.
