- The Young Democratic Socialists of Hunter College is a chapter of YDS, the youth and student section of Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). We are a student group inspired by democratic socialist principles of equality and social justice. We believe that both society and the economy alike should be democratically run and not controlled by the interests of elites. Alternatives to the neoliberal policy of free-market capitalism should be actively sought out.
