Hi, I'm a Whitman College student working with a group of activists to establish a Walla Walla chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America. The DSA focuses on community organizing around socialist approaches to various economic and social issues, such as the presence of corporate money in politics, universal healthcare, environmental exploitation, discrimination around racial, gender, and sexual orientation, and workers’ rights and empowerment.

We are currently in the early stages of organizing and chapter building and would love the input and involvement of other community members on establishing the group and deciding what sorts of specific projects to pursue.
