Foundation
Wabash College Democratic Socialists was, in 2016, a "new political club at Wabash College that supports progressing toward a Social Democracy. We also wish to remove the negative connotation from the word "Socialist." We support public discourse and hope to include people of all political persuasions in our public/online discussions."
- Naturally, the admins support Bernie Sanders in the 2016 presidential race. However, this is not a prerequisite for membership or participation. We hope to eliminate or weaken the boundaries of political polarization that is rampant in our country. This will hopefully lead to more meaningful and respectful discussion of issues that brings us together as Americans.
