Citizens' Committee to Aid Packing-House Workers
Template:TOCnestleft The United Packinghouse Workers of America (UPWA) (later the United Packinghouse, Food and Allied Workers) was a labor union that represented workers in the meatpacking industry.
In 1937, the UPWA was originally chartered as the Packinghouse Workers Organizing Committee (PWOC) by the Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO). In 1968, the UPWA dissolved into the Amalgamated Meat Cutters.

The duty of the Finance Committee was to raise funds to purchase food and other necessities for the workers.

Publicity Committee
The duty of the Publicity Committee was to give publicity to the facts with reference to the strike, the plight of the workers and the work of the Citizens' Committee.
As at April 12, 1948, the following were members of the Publicity Committee:
Food and Groceries Committee
The duty of the Food and Groceries Committee was to collect from all wholesale and retail stores, groceries and food of all kinds and deliver the same to 4859 South Wabash Avenue, where the food will be distributed to the workers whoe are sent in with food orders by the union.

Church Committee
The duty of the Church Committee was to secure the support of all ministers and churches and seek to have each church to take an offering for the packing-house workers.
