Sommer Iqbal is an International Political Economy major at the University of Texas at Dallas. She is interested in social justice and activism, environmental policy, and South Asian and Middle Eastern affairs. Her ultimate goal is to help the Muslim community through her work as much as possible. One of her dreams is to work for the White House as a liaison for the Muslim community.[1]

In 2015 Sommer Iqbal was a Muslim Public Affairs Council Congressional Leadership Development Program intern in the office of Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson.
