As at March 19, 2010, Solly Mapaila was listed as a member of the Politburo and a central committee member on the committee of the South African Communist Party. This party is a partner in the Tripartite Alliance, which includes the African National Congress and the Congress of Congress of South African Trade Unions.[1]
