In 1991, Saul Wachter, Northern California, was one of several hundred Communist Party USA members to sign the a paper "An initiative to Unite and Renew the Party"-most signatories left the Party after the December 1991 conference to found Committees of Correspondence.[1]

House Committee on Un-American Activities

Communist Party members Archie Brown, Ralph Izard, Merle Brodsky, Saul Wachter, and Sally Attrarian Sweet disrupt the House Committee on Un-American Activities in 1960.[2]
