Hindus for Human Rights posted an article[1] titled "Hindu nationalism poses a threat to democratic politics in India and Nepal" by Dhruv Rana, Laabhesh Thapa and Sandeep Pandey dated March 6, 2024. The article claimed that "...both in India and Nepal the Hindtuva ideology has become or remained a challenge to the concept of an egalitarian society based on the principles of secularism and socialism."
Hindus for Human Rights referred to author and General Secretary of Socialist Party (India) Sandeep Pandey as a "friend of HfHR".[2],[3]
Demand change in Religious Traditions
Sandeep Pandey signed a letter demanding change in religious traditions, citing Brahmanical Patriarchy. From an article in India dated January 10 2019:[4]
- "In a letter to the Chief Minister of Kerala, the President of India, Chief Justice of India and the Governor of Kerala, over 200 women’s activists, Dalit activists, Adivasi activists, human rights groups, social organisations, cultural personalities and well-known citizens demanded the dismissal of priests in Sabarimala over violation of constitutional rights and returning the shrine to Adivasis."
