Asian Americans for Equality celebrated their 40th Anniversary Gala, November 18, 2014, at Tribeca 360, 10 Debrosses St NYC.

Honored "Agents of Change" included Rose Eng;[1]

Rose Eng was a New York City public school educator for 33 years. In addition to being appointed to serve on the Chancellor’s Board of Education Asian Pacific American Advisory Council, Rose was the Founder and Chairwoman of the United Federation of Teachers (UFT) Asian American Committee and an elected UFT school delegate.
An active OCA member since 1980 Rose has served as Executive Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Rose was a member of AAFE’s Board from 1997-2004. She also served on the Board of Pan Asian Repertory Theatre and was a founding member of the CCNY Asian Alumni Association.
Since her retirement from the Department of Education Rose has worked as a travel consultant and is active in the Pacific Asia Travel Association.
