DSA meeting

At the March 3, 2007 Greater Detroit Democratic Socialists of America general membership meeting, Rich Robinson, the executive director of the [[Michigan Campaign Finance Network]], presented “The Future of Campaign Finance Reform.” [1]

Detroit DSA has worked with the Michigan Campaign Finance Network on the issue of campaign finance reform in the past. As socialists, we realize that campaign finance reform is a major component of electoral reform. Until we remove the influence of corporate money from the electoral process, we will never be able to enact the legislation needed to provide universal health care, secure pensions, or to safeguard a worker’s right to organize a union.
