Raymond S. Franklin received his Ph.D. in economics at the University of California, Berkeley. He has written numerous articles on race, class and urban issues and is now working on Ex-Prisoners on the Road to Redemption and Postindustrial Blues: Ideologies of Paradigms Lost.

Michael Harrington Center

In 2009, Raymond Franklin was the Director Emeritus of the Michael Harrington Center. He continues to be actively engaged with the Center especially with its publications.

Democratic Socialists of America Unity

Raymond Franklin Georgia, supported the Democratic Socialists of America Unity grouping, established for the 2017 Democratic Socialists of America National Convention in Chicago.[1]
