About

The New Vision Foundation seeks to "create pathways to success by motivating disadvantaged youth in Minnesota through coding and digital literacy classes; engage responsible companies in IT philanthropy; and inspire progress toward global sustainable development" as well as "...decrease the racial income disparities in Minnesota."

From their website:[1],[2]

New Vision Foundation's staff, from the Founder & Executive Director, to Software Developers that teach the coding classes, are members of the minority community themselves. They bring decades of experience and credibility of working towards community economic development and social justice. By understanding the problems first-hand, New Vision Foundation designed an inclusive and comprehensive approach that brought together all the stakeholders with an aim of solving long-term problems such as youth disengagement and a lack of diversity in the tech workforce.
Unlike any other program, New Vision Foundation integrates outreach, skill development and workforce readiness with cross-cultural competency – magnifying a structural strength in our disadvantaged target market in order to mitigate the acute shortage of diverse talent, especially in the high-tech sector, facing Minnesota businesses.

Feeding Our Future Investigation

It was reported on May 22, 2025 that New Vision Foundation, a non-profit based in St. Paul, Minnesota, was part of the Feeding Our Future investigation:[3],[4]

"The Feeding Our Future meal fraud investigation is expanding. Federal agents on Thursday searched the offices of the New Vision Foundation, a St. Paul nonprofit allegedly connected to a sprawling scheme to steal hundreds of millions of dollars from two taxpayer-funded nutrition programs for children in need during the pandemic.
Agents were seen removing computers and other items from NVF’s Vandalia St. offices early Thursday afternoon. According to its website, NVF was founded “to create pathways to success by motivating disadvantaged youth in Minnesota through coding and digital literacy classes.”
But in a search warrant, FBI Special Agent Travis Wilmer writes that NVF operated two phony meal distribution sites under the sponsorship of the defunct nonprofit Feeding Our Future.
Like dozens of other organizations and businesses that were part of the scheme, NVF allegedly submitted fraudulent reimbursement requests to the Minnesota Department of Education for meals that it never served.
