- My Brother's Keeper...I had the honor of being at the White House to witness the launch of this initiative, aimed at intervening in the lives of boys and young men of color to give them a better chance of succeeding. Key goals: expanding early childhood education so that low income boys enter first grade as ready to learn as their middle-class classmates; developing more STEM programs, recruiting more mentors, changing the way schools deal with disciplinary problems, expanding summer imternships... Do I really believe that we can make a difference in the lives of millions of boys and young men of color? Yes, absolutely!
