"The Left and the US Election"
International working group Die Linke Berlin October 28, 2020 · The US elections have opened up a great discussion on the Left. No-one is excited about Joe Biden, but many feel that they must vote Biden to prevent 4 more years of Donald Trump and his increasingly active Nazi base.
This Friday, the LINKE Internationals and DSA Berlin are organising a debate about how the political left should react to the US election, and - more immportantly - how we can organise against the austerity measures to come.
The following speakers will talk followed by plenty of time for you to ask questions or make your own contribution:
- Ted Knudsen is a member of DSA Berlin and researcher on US-EU relations at the Hertie School. Ted will be reluctantly voting for Joe Biden
- Jeremy Osborne is an activist and member of DSA Berlin who has organized and marched with Black Lives Matter in NYC and Berlin. Jeremy will be voting Third Party
- Hanna Grzeskiewicz is a member of the LINKE Berlin Internationals with British-Polish citizenships. Hanna will be comparing the US presidential race with similar campaigns in her home countries.
