Mariela Castro Espin is a Deputy of the National Assembly of People's Power and Director of CENESEX. She is a full member of the Cuban Academy of Sciences. She is committed to the development of policies, sexuality education, health and sexual rights, with a gender and human rights approach from emancipatory paradigms.[1]
